What Tire Chains do You Recommend for 2012 Nissan Rogue?
Question:
Hello, Hope you are doing well. I am looking for snow chains for my 2012 Nissan Rogue but there are only 2 options available that have been confirmed to fit with my car. I searched for chains that would fit my tire size 215/70 R16 and there are more options but there is the side note that it has not been confirmed to fit with my car. I would appreciate any assistance or additional information on this. Thank you for your help!

When the fitguide has your 2012 Nissan Rogue listed as a confirmed fit for your 215/70-16 tires, that means that we have successfully fitted them onto your vehicle with that specific tire size. Even though we may not have fitted the other chain options on your vehicle, those chains will also fit the tire size you have. If you are considering the chains that are not confirmed to fit your vehicle, I recommend measuring your wheel well clearance to make sure you have enough room to accommodate the tire chains. Each particular chain is rated for different clearance requirements.
For the most safest and assured option, I recommend the Konig Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - D Link - XG12 Pro # TH2004705235. These chains are Class S compatible which means they have been constructed for vehicles with limited wheel well space. This is beneficial because it reduces the potential for damage sustained to components in the wheel well such as struts. Not only do these chains come with self-tensioners that eliminate the headache of having to adjust the chains after each trip, they come with anti-scratch bumpers to protect your Rogue's rims. Since these chains require a minimum of 12mm of clearance between the tire and the closest component, I recommend measuring to make sure you have proper clearance. I went ahead and attached a picture that shows this measurement. Also, as per Nissan, chains should be installed only on your front wheels only.
As with all tire chains, it is important to check with your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure you follow the guidelines outlined.
