Can Koenig Snow Tire Chains th2004705265 be Put on Front of 2021 BMW X5

Question:

The owners manual says put on the rear but common sense seems that the front would be better to give you traction under acceleration, steering and braking. Do these fit on the front without any issues?

While they will physically fit 265/50-19 and 275/45-20 tires on your 2021 BMW X5, I have to recommend following what the owner's manual says about installation on the rear wheels only for the Konig Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains # th2004705265.

That said, the Konig # th2004705265 require 12mm of internal clearance, so if you have that, and there isn't any interference on your '21 X5 then you can, but generally you'll find that they require chains on only the front or rear because of issues with things like brake lines being in the way.

We haven't tested them on the front wheels of the 2021 X5 to give you a definitive yes or no.
