Can a 2008 Honda Odyssey Carry a Kayak and a Canoe at the Same Time

Can we safely carry a canoe on this roof rack? How about a kayak? Probably not both at the same time? Thank you!

The ability to carry a canoe and a kayak on the roof of a 2008 Honda Odyssey is going to depend on two factors. It will depend on the weight capacity of the roof and the sizes of the canoe and kayak.

For your raised side rails, I recommend adding Thule WingBar # TH711420 and Evo Clamp Feet # TH710401. Then add locks # TH450400. This rack is rated for 150 lb capacity.

If you find that your roof can support the weight of your kayak and canoe, there are a few options that may allow you to carry both at the same time depending on their size. To fit both items on your roof, I recommend using a J-style kayak carrier like the Yakima JayLow, # Y04073, for your kayak and the Yakima KeelOver Canoe Carrier, # Y04069.
