Will the Yakima OnRamp Fit My 3-Inch Wide Bike Tires on My 2014 RAM 1500 and 2022 Forest River TT?

Good afternoon, I have a 2014 RAM 1500 and also 2022 Forest River Rockwood 2109s. I believe this rack will work with both, but unsure. Would you be able to confirm if the rack can support the 3 inch tires? I apologize in advance if youve already answered this question prior.

Yes! I am happy to confirm that the Yakima OnRamp # Y36FR will fit your 3-inch wide tires. This is because the OnRamp can accommodate bikes with tires up to 3-1/2 inches wide. It is important to note that when the OnRamp is mounted on your 2022 Forest River 2109s travel trailer, the per-bike weight capacity of the OnRamp is rated at 40 pounds while on a trailer. If you have a bike that is more than 40 pounds, you will not be able to use the OnRamp on your Rockwood 1209s. Also, it is important to consider bumper clearance. Since the OnRamp measures 7-1/2 inches from the center of the shank's pinhole to the closest part of the rack, I recommend you measure your hitch from the center of the pinhole to the outside face of your rear bumper to make sure you have enough clearance.

Unfortunately, while we do not have a bike with a ramp that is compatible with the increased torque and force while mounted on your travel trailer, we do have a great rack that will not decrease the per-bike capacity when mounted on your trailer.
