Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier for 225/75-16 Tire and Flat Towing Small Tow Vehicle
Question:
We have a 2020 Entegra odyssey Class c motor home and are looking at the roadmaster 195225 or 195125. We have dual wheels 16 inch, 75 pounds in weight. We tow a Chevy Spark. Our tow capacity is 7500 pounds and our hitch weight is 750 pounds. Wondering which carrier would work best for us. Our tow bar is a Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain Our tires are LT225/7516E115/1125. Also, what is your return policy if it doesn’t fit.

Helpful Expert Reply:
I recommend going with the Spare Tire Carrier # RM-195225 over the Spare Tire Carrier # RM-195125 for a few reasons.
The Carrier # RM-195225 is more of a heavy-duty option with a higher towing capacity. While this doesn't mean much for your Chevy Spark (since it's a smaller vehicle), in my experience it's always best to have your trailer hitch as the lowest rated component so that you can use that max weight capacity.
Another reason why is that this carrier comes with the receiver tube mounted to the bottom of the shank which means it will sit closer in-line with your Spark.
Attached is a photo showing the fitment stipulations for this shank. The holes on this shank sit 3-1/2" apart on center so you do want to make sure that neither hole will be sitting at the opening of the hitch receiver.
