Question:

Blue Ox lists BX2681 as the plate that fits my 2017 f150. eTrailer does not appear to carry this plate, but also lists a different plate. Can you help me understand the difference?

We do carry the BX2681 but it is listed under a different item number, # BO74FR. The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BX1986 you linked to is a fit for specific Ram models/years.

Since you're planning on flat towing your 2017 Ford F-150 you'll also need a tow bar, tow bar wiring kit, braking system, and safety cables. If you haven't already purchased these items then I have the following recommendations for you:

Tow Bar: Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates # RM-677. This tow bar has an 8K weight capacity to allow you to haul some items in the bed of your truck. It features non-binding latches and a large hookup radius to make connecting and disconnecting your vehicle on any terrain a breeze. It comes with a 6-way to 7-way adapter cable and 6-way socket included as well as safety cables so you won't have to purchase any separately. It has integrated LED lights illuminate with your RV tail lights that make it easy to hookup or disconnect in the dark.

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-152. Since the Nighthawk comes with an adapter cable and 6-way socket all you'll need is the diodes and wiring to use your F-150's tail lights and wiring system while preventing feedback from your RV.

Braking system: Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39524. This system offers intense, emergency braking or steady, smooth braking in a single portable system. Easily switch between proportional or full braking using the remote from the cab of your motorhome.

Safety Cables: Since the Nighthawk comes with safety cables you won't need to purchase any separately.

You may also need a high/low adapter to keep your tow bar level between the motorhome and F-150. This does require some measuring so I've attached our help article to walk you through determining the correct rise/drop needed.
