Honestly, your best bet would be to replace the existing 5-pin connector on your trailer with a 7-way, which would be pretty simple to do. You'd start by determining which circuit on your 5-pin serves which function.
For the cleanest installation, I'd use a 7-way molded connector/ junction box like # HS381-9000 which allows you to make your wiring connections in an easily accessible spot that's protected from the elements.
