Adapter for Using Industry Standard 5th Wheel Hitch in Factory Pucks of Ram 2500
Question:
Just bought a 5th wheel camper. I have a Ram 2500 short bed. It has the factory puck system in bed. Im looking at a Reese pro-series 15k capacity with rails. Would that be all I need? Are there any adaptor pieces I need? Do I have to use the rails included if I have a puck system?

To use an industry standard rail compatible 5th wheel hitch like your Reese 15K 5th wheel hitch with your factory pucks in your Ram 2500 short bed, you'll need a rail adapter like # RP30154. The adapter mounts in the pucks, and would provide industry standard 5th wheel rails for the hitch to mount to. You won't need the rails.
For a short bed truck, you'll want to be sure to use a sliding hitch to provide the proper clearance between the front of the 5th wheel and the rear of the truck cab.
You might also be interested in a 7-way connector for the bed of your truck like # C56000.
