Alternative to Roof Rack for 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan

Question:

Trying to find a roof rack for a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan naked roof. In the past you offered racks by Thule that fit that model but no longer do so. You do offer racks for other year models but not 2012. What is so different about the 2012 from other GC year models that prevent using the clamp on roof rack? Is there a workaround or other product that will do the job.? PS I have been very satisfied with your hitch products in the past.

What changed is that Thule did a massive update on their roof rack systems and discontinued their older clamping fit kits but never came out with a new one for your 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan (as well as other Grand Caravan model years).

If you're looking to transport some cargo with your Grand Caravan then I recommend installing the etrailer Trailer Hitch # e98854 and then using a cargo carrier like the 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier # e98874 or a bike rack like the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR depending on what you were planning on taking with you.

This won't be the same as a roof rack, but it will give you some extra space and it will be easier to load at the back of your vehicle as opposed to the roof.
