Can Dexter E-Z Flex Work With Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shocks On a 2022 Grand Design Imagine 22MLE?

I’m planning to upgrade the suspension of a ‘22 Imagine XLS 22MLE with the Dexter EZ Flex equalizer #K71-653-00. I’m pretty sure the equalizer will bolt on without any modification. Am I correct? And how about the Roadmaster RM-2450 shock installation kit to complete the suspension upgrade? Will that fit on the ‘22 22MLE? Will they mount at the appropriate angle range of 20-40 degrees and not extend below the level of the wheel rim? The 22MLE has 3,500 lb axles. Thanks for fielding these questions.

To ensure that the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-653-00 is the correct kit for your 2022 Grand Design Imagine XLS 22MLE you will want to verify the hole center measurement on your current equalizer. This particular Dexter unit is designed to replace an equalizer that has a 7-3/4" bolt hole spread on the lower 2 holes. As long as you have that same spread it will bolt up with no modification required.

I recommend using LubriMatic LMX Industrial Strength Grease # L11390 on all your wet bolts and wheel bearings. This grease is specially formulated for the extreme pressure and heat that the parts will produce. The are also highly water insoluble so it will not wash away when driven in the rain.

The Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers # RM-2450 will work well with the Dexter equalizer upgrade. You will be able to achieve the 20-40 degrees mounting angle as there does not appear to be any other parts in the way of where the mounting brackets will land.
