Troubleshooting PL Code on Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller
Question:
I have connected my brake controller power from the pin at the back, to a switch using blade plugs, to a 20 blade fuse to the + battery. All connections are tight and secure. And it still displays a P.L on screen. Both when I engage and disengage the brake pedal. Can I still use this brake controller to tow. Will it have any effect on the braking system

Expert Reply:
Typically the Prodigy P2 # 90885 power will be connected straight to the battery with just a 20 Amp Circuit Breaker # PK54520 in between. Have you tried bypassing the switch that you used and have you ensured that the switch is rated high enough when it comes to amps? That would be where I would start since the PL code means that there is a power interruption.
