How To Carry Kayaks On Harbor Freight Folding Utility Trailer

Question:

I am looking at upgrading a harbor freight trailer HAUL-MASTER 1720 Lb. Capacity 48 In. X 96 In. Super Duty Folding Trailer. I am looking at converting this to be able to haul two kayaks and rods from my house to my cabin which is about 5 hours away and most of the drive is 65-70 miles an hour. What would I need to purchase for upgrades to make this trailer capable of that. Thanks!

The best option we offer for converting a utility trailer to a recreational use trailer like one that hauls kayaks and canoes is the Malone Crossbar Conversion Kit for Standard Utility Trailer part # MPG475. It comes with brackets, hardware, and crossbars that you will need to install the system. However, the brackets and hardware that attach to the trailer frame may take some altering or swapping out of parts as it really comes down to the specific application which we can't really comment or advise on. That said, as long as you are able to figure out this part the kit will provide you with two crossbars you can easily attach a carrier to so that you can haul your kayaks such as the Malone SeaWing Kayak Carrier part # MPG107MD.
