Is The Blue Ox BXW1000 Weight Distribution System Right For My 2022 Airstream International FB?

Question:

Hello, I believe this hitch will suit my needs but would like to confirm. We purchased a 2022 Airstream International FB twin with a listed gvwr of 7,300 lbs and tongue weight of 875 lbs I plan to carry no more than 100 lbs of cargo in the bed of truck behind the rear axle. We have a 2021 Toyota Tundra 1794 edition 4x4 TRD off-road with the full trailer package. The trailer hitch height is listed as 19 I measured up to the center of the opening of our 2inch hitch and it is about 18. I see there is another blue ox with a 9 hole shank, but if I read the diagram correctly for this one, believe this 7 hole shank is sufficient for me. Just wanting to make sure before I order. Thank you so much!

The Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # BXW1000 looks to be perfect for your 2022 Airstream International FB. You want to get your loaded tongue weight as close the middle of a weight distribution system's capacities as possible and with the # BXW1000 having a minimum of 750 pounds and a maximum of 1,000 pounds, it puts you well within that range.

You actually want to measure from the ground to the inside top of a receiver to find the correct height, so adding an inch to your measurement will put you at 19". As this will be the same as that of your Airstream, there will be no need to go with the 9 hole shank option.
