Recommended Wheels and Tires Switching from 16-1/2 Inch Dual to 17-1/2 Inch Single
Question:
i trying to figure out what wheel i need to order for my trailer it has the old 16.5 wheels and i need to change them because i need tires but id rather go to single 17.5s because i think they would last better and pull easier its on a dexter 9k axle 8x6.5

For a wheel and tire combo, check out the Westlake 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire w 17-1/2" Lynx Aluminum Wheel - 8 on 6-1/2 - LR J - Black # LHAS701. These wheels will also fit what you have now, and the tires have a 4,856 lb capacity with a maximum speed of 75 mph.
Keep in mind, you will need to account for any difference in tire size compared to what you have now. You want to make sure you have enough clearance between the tire and the trailer, along with enough clearance from the tire to the top of the fender. You will also have a lot of space where your second wheel and tire were before. Because of this I would also recommend changing hubs.
The # TA45ZR you referenced is hub piloted and use 5/8"-18 flange nuts as opposed to 9/16"-18 wheel bolts so this is not what you would want to use.
I have attached some review videos for your reference.
