Can a Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel Hitch Be Converted To a Slider On a 2021 Ram 2500 with Pucks

Question:

I have a Reese Elite RE 18 I had in my 2011 ford F350 it had the long bed w/puck system I got a 2021 Ram 2500 short bed w/ puck system do they make a slide adapter that I can use my hitch on with this truck?

I do have some great fifth wheel hitch options for you but you cannot convert a Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel Hitch from fixed to sliding or from a Ford to a Ram. Therefore, it's time for a new hitch and since you have a new truck it only makes sense. I recommend the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVK3670 as it's the best hitch on the market. It's not the cheapest hitch out there but it will last you a lifetime and outperform any other. It has very thick dual jaws which keep the kingpin secure and the ride as smooth as possible. The cam-action handle ensures you can uncouple on never terrain and the head can be removed easily to save your back getting the hitch in and out.

If you sell the old hitch that can help offset some of the cost of the new one.
