Can The Yakima BackSwing Swing Away Adapter Be Used With A Thule Bike Rack?

Which Swing Away hitch mounts are compatible to the Thule T2 Pro XTR 2

Expert Reply:
As long as your Thule T2 Pro XTR is only for use in a 2" hitch, like the # TH83JV, the Yakima BackSwing Swing Away Hitch Extender # Y02483 will work perfectly. However, if your T2 Pro uses a 2" adapter on a 1-1/4" shank, like the # TH23JV, there will not be a swing away adapter available, unfortunately. This is due to there being too much movement for safe use.
I do also need to mention that this, as with most extenders/adapters, will reduce the tongue weight capacity of your hitch by 50%. Always something to be aware of when looking at something like this.
