Recommended Trailer Sway Control For a Forest River R-Pod Pulled by a 2015 Honda Pilot

Question:

Thank you for the recommendation of the Tuson Asymmetric Sway Control - 1 to 4 Axles Item # 335TSC-1000 Two questions: 1. Will this increase wear of the brake shoes? 2. Will the unit work with a wireless electric brake controller? Thanks

I recommend using the Tuson Asymmetric Sway Control # 335TSC-1000 to control the trailer sway on your Forest River R-Pod M-177 camper. This electronic sway control uses the brakes on the trailer independently to eliminate the trailer sway.

Per the owners manual for your 2015 Honda Pilot, Honda does not recommend using a weight distribution hitch system on your vehicle.

Yes, the Tuson Asymmetric Sway Control # 335TSC-1000 will increase wear on the brakes since it is going to use the brakes to stop trailer sway. Yes, the Tuson Asymmetric Sway Control # 335TSC-1000 is still compatible with a wireless trailer brake controller. The system will not have any effect on the brake controller as it is powered from the battery on your R-Pod and does not require power from the brake controller. Your trailer brakes will continue to operate as they should from your brake controller.
