Which 5th Wheel Hitch Do I need for My 2022 Ram 2500 w/ OEM Prep Package

Do I need to use a sliding fifth wheel hitch if my 2022 Ram 2500 has the OEM Rail kit?

Whether or not you need a sliding 5th wheel hitch isn't determined by the OEM prep kit. If your 2022 Ram 2500's bed is shorter than 8' you will need either a sliding 5th wheel hitch for clearance when you are making sharp turns while maneuvering your 5th wheel trailer or a pivoting pin box. The OEM pucks are the same regardless of bed length.
