Brake Controller and Install Kit Recommended for 2021 Kia Telluride
Question:
I have a 2021 Kia Telluride and I just bought an R-Pod195 RV. The car is a 4 prong and the RV is a 7 prong. I am getting the 7 prong installed in my car. Is there anything else I need? I saw that there is something else for the RV brakes that needs to be installed. Thank you

If your R-pod 195 has electric brakes, you'll need to install a brake controller to actuate them.
I'd recommend a remote style controller like the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty, part # RED24FR. The controller box mounts under the dash where it's out of sight, where you won't bash your knees into it when you enter/exit the vehicle. The trailer brakes are controlled by the control knob which is installed within the driver's reach. An unused switch knockout on the dash or center console is the ideal mounting location, but if one isn't available an optional mounting bezel, part # 331-TPSI-001 would make for a neat, factory appearing install. You'll also need the # RED69FR wiring pigtail and a # 5506 wiring kit.
I've linked to a video that will run you through how the Tow-Pro Liberty brake controller and the # 5506 install kit works.
