Where Does the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack Install on a 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit 3-Door Hatchback

Question:

Hi I was looking at your offer of a Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Roof Rack with Crossbars - 49inch Long - Black. Will this really fit a three door vw and are all the components included in the kit? I can understand how the front rack can clamp onto the door frame, but I do not understand how the back rack can attach to the smooth vehicle. Thanks.

With the Rhino-Rack roof rack clamps, # DK064, you will first need to position the front clamp which will be approximately 9-27/32 inches forward of the center of the upright support directly rearward of the doors. Take a look at the picture that illustrates what I mean. That measurement will be where the center of the foot will be on the roof.

You will then measure from that point straight back 27-9/16 inches. This is where the center of the rear foot will be. The drawing of the vehicle in the picture I have included has 4 doors but that is just a generic picture and just meant to show you how to measure.

In addition to the clamps you will also need the feet, crossbars, and an adapter using the following parts:

Aero bars # RRVA126B-2
Feet # RRRLKVA
