Troubleshooting A MaxxAir MaxxFan That Opens But Doesn't Close

Question:

It is a exhaust fan only, “not reversible” is noted on the control panel mounted on the wall. It has a rain sensor. I had a knee replacement last Tuesday and not able to get on roof yet to see if there is another number

If you already replaced the operator # MA10-20281K-1AF for your MaxxAir MaxxFan and it's working correctly to open but not close then the next part to replace would be the circuit board.

Circuit boards are model specific so you will want to ensure you have the correct replacement. The Replacement Printed Circuit Board for MaxxAir Powered Lift RV Roof Vents w/ Reversible Fan # MA10A21275K is compatible with the following models: MaxxFan Plus: 00-04500K, 00-04700K, 00-04800K, and 00-04900K and MaxxFan Deluxe: 00-0700K, 00-07500K, 00-08500K, 00-08700K, and 00-08900K.

The Replacement Printed Circuit Board for MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus Roof Vents # MA10A04751KS is compatible with the following models: 4751KS, 4761KS, and 4951KS.

If you have a different model let me know and I can find the correct control board for you.

Since you stated it's an exhaust only fan that's not reversible and has a rain sensor that leads me to believe you most likely have a MA00-04751KSX which would require the Replacement Printed Circuit Board for MaxxAir Powered Lift RV Roof Vents w/ Exhaust Only Fan # MA39FR. I still recommend having someone check the model number so you can ensure you're purchasing the correct circuit board replacement.
