Recommended 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch For A 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Question:

I have a 2020 F250 without tow prep. I want to install a 20,000# rated fifth wheel hitch. Which hitch would you recommend? I am in the Stillwater, OK area. Do you have any recommendations on installers? I will be pulling a travel trailer that will be under 15,000# loaded. Thank you

For a 20,000lb 5th wheel hitch in your 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty I recommend the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 20,000lbs # BWRVK3500-5W with the Custom Underbed Installation Kit for B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWGNRK1116-5W. This hitch mounts to the Turnoverball gooseneck trailer hitch for a rail-free design that allows for full access to the truck bed when the hitch is removed.

It has 1" thick dual jaws to provide 360-degree jaw-to-king-pin contact for less rattle and more security than slide-bar jaws. The fully articulating head pivots front-to-back and side-to-side to ease hookup and helps to limit chucking. It provides improved cab clearance achieved with 3 height settings and 4" of front-to-back adjustment depending on the attachment of the pivot arms to the base. The gray powder coated steel is corrosion resistant for a long lifespan and the ability to remove this hitch and utilize the gooseneck hitch will allow you to tow multiple trailers.

Note: If your bed is shorter than 8' then you will need the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Dual Jaw - 20,000lbs # BWRVK3400-5W instead. This is the same hitch as the one I recommended above but also includes 12" of travel to allow for more turning clearance to prevent the nose of your 5th wheel from coming into contact with the cab of your truck.

If you don't already have an in-bed 7-way socket then I recommend also installing the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector for Aluminum Beds - 7' Long # C57008. This wiring harness is going to plug into your existing 7-way wiring and run up to your bed and mount in the bedrail for easy plug in access for your trailer's lighting.
