How Do I Remove a Stuck Pin on the B&W Tow & Stow # BWTS20040B?

Question:

The model number is TS20040B. The 7” drop hitch. Just can’t figure out how to fix the guide pin coming loose and getting stuck in the main pin holes.

Sorry to hear about your hitch! In order to determine the best course of action with your hitch, do you have the manufacturer/model of hitch that you have?

Thanks so much!

On the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount - 2-1/2" Hitch - 7-1/2" Drop/Rise - 14.5K # BWTS20040B (TS20040B), it is important to note that the pivoting pin cannot be removed from the hitch. This is because this particular pin is designed to not allow the adjusting component to separate from the hitch itself. I went ahead and linked a video that shows this feature at timestamp 1:20. However, if you are having difficulty with the other three removable pins with the clips, the best course of action is to try using a penetrating spray lubricant, like the UltraLube Biobased Spray Lubricant and Penetrant. The spray lubricant will help break up any grit, dirt, or other debris that can possibly affect it. Plus, the spray will make removing the pins much easier. Also, since the heads of the pins stick out considerably, you can also give a tap with a hammer or mallet to help the pin come loose.
