Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch For A 2015 Ram 2500 And 2022 Montana High Country 295RL 5th Wheel
Question:
We just bought a 2022 Montana High Country 295RL. Im interested in the Demco Slide Hitch. I drive a Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel with the factory puck tow system. What Hitch would you recommend for my truck to pull my fifth wheel. Specs on fifth wheel are hitchPin 2300lbs. Dry weight with cargo 14,300lbs.

For your 2015 Ram 2500 with puck system the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Above Bed - 21,000lbs # DM8550035 would be a great choice to haul your 2022 Montana High Country 295RL 5th Wheel. You would just need the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ram OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package - 25,000lbs # DM6099 so that the hitch could drop right into your factory pucks.
This hitch automatically slides back as you drive to give you 14" of additional clearance for tight turns without having to get out of your truck and pull any levers. The wraparound, single-piece jaw provides a secure connection with 360-degree jaw-to-king-pin contact for less rattle and more security than slide-bar jaws. The 3/4" thick, solid steel locking bar reinforces the connection of your coupled trailer and automatically locks into place when the jaw closes. The double-pivot hitch head pivots front to back and side to side to ease hookup and help to limit chucking.
If you don't already have an in-bed 7-way socket you can install the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 7' Long # C56070. This wiring harness simply plugs into your existing 7-way using a T-style connector and then runs to the bedrail of your Ram to mount.
