Question:
I have 2 F150s. I installed it using a T connector, Im still getting different trailer connection and various fault codes. Is there anything that you can offer that would make these wrong warning go away? I would like to have the light bars working without these warnings as they were gifts. If the wiring that you installed connects to factory plugs for trailer wiring on your Fred F-150s then that would explain why you are getting the trailer connected alerts and faults. The only true way to get rid of your trucks reading the light bars would be to install a universal wiring kit like part # 119250KIT so that the truck wiring won't be drawing the power for the light bar on the same circuit. This wiring kit taps into the light functions to know when to trigger the different signals but it pulls power directly from the truck battery.
