Do i need to lower/remove the spare tire when installing the C13420 on my 2022 Kia Telluride?

Yes, you will need to lower the spare tire and place it to the side while installing the Curt Hitch - 2" # C13420 to your 2022 Kia Telluride. However, you will be able to reattach the tire when you are done with installation. I went ahead and attached a photo from the installation manual that shows this step.
Unfortunately, we do not offer any hitch receiver that does not require lowering/temporarily removing the spare tire in the installation.
The great thing about the Curt Hitch is that it measures only 4 inches from the center of the hitch pinhole to the outside face of the spare bumper. With this measurement, the hitch is perfect for a cargo carrier like the 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches # e98874. If you want a locking hitch pin, the Threaded Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin Lock for etrailer Cargo Carriers # e99047 will work perfectly.
