Parts to Add 7-Pin Wiring to 2001 Dodge Ram Without Factory Trailer Connector

Seven pin connection on 2001 Ram 1500 I was reading a posted answer to a previous question and need to clarify something. Is there already a connection on my 2001 ram 1500 4x4 for a seven pin receptacle? Even though Ive never had done installed.

The answer page you were referring to was about replacing a factory 7-Way on a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup which is why the Hopkins Connector # HM42190 was the best solution.

Since your 2001 Ram didn't come with a 7-Way from the factory you will need to start with the T-One # 118329 4-Way wiring harness and then add the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7 if you're needing a fully functioning 7-Way.
