I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C34ER for towing with your 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe. This receiver is a class III rated receiver with a 2" opening for your ball mount or other hitch mounted accessories. It is rated for a maximum tongue weight of 600lbs and a maximum trailer capacity of 6,000lbs. Be sure to verify your maximum tow ratings with Hyundai and do not exceed the lower of the combined ratings.
A Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # CU94FR will plug into the factory connector on your Hyundai giving you a 4-way flat connector. This is the connector that most smaller trailers use to control the trailers tail lighting. If your trailer has a different connecter, please let me know what connecter you have, and I can recommend the correct adapter.
The etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 will include 2 separate ball mounts. These ball mounts will help you to get your trailer as level as possible. When we installed the Curt receiver we found the top of the receiver height to be 14". The ball mounts will have a 3/4" rise or a 2-3/4" rise that you will need since most trailers have a 14"-18" coupler height. Also included are 1-7/8" ball and 2" ball to match the coupler already on your utility trailer.
