Roof Rack for 2017 Honda CR-V with Naked Roof

Question:

I am looking to buy a roof rack for my sons 2017 Honda CRV. It currently has no rails or crossbars, ie. a naked roof. I would like to get raised roof rails the OEM are flush and crossbars to carry a kayak and/or paddle board. I have looked on your website at the following. Thule Wingbar kit , Yakima Corebar kit, Rhino Euro Bar kit , Thule SquareBar EVO kit and Rhino Vortex kit . Are these all compatible with his car? Do they all strap onto car door jambs or do any of them attach directly to factory installed bolts or threaded nuts under the trim for a more permanent installation? Any recommendation? Thanks.

Yes all of the roof racks you mentioned are a confirmed fit for your 2017 Honda CR-V that has a naked roof and attaches using clamps that attach the feet to the door frame. Since there isn't fixed mounting points on the roof of your vehicle designed for installing a roof rack all of the options use the door clamps.

Of all of the options available the best value by far is the Rhino Rack Vortex Aero bar roof rack part numbers # RRVA137B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK284 as you get all of the quality and features of the more expensive racks like higher quality components, the quieter aero bar shape, and the easier install at a much better price point.
