Recommended Gooseneck Ball Hitch For a 2020 Ram 2500 With OEM Prep/Puck In Bed Hitch System

Question:

I already have a Husky goose neck ball that I used with my rail system. My new truck has the puck system. Can I use my goose neck hitch with the Reese adapter or should I get the gooseneck ball that fits the puck system. Trying to save a few dollars and use my existing parts

I recommend getting the B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit # BWGNXA2062 for your 2020 Ram 2500 with the factory prep/puck system. The handle used to lock the gooseneck ball in the slot on your Ram will not damage like the locking pins on the top of the ball that Curt and Reese use.

The Reese 5th Wheel Rail Adapter # RP30154 does not have the 10" slots that your Husky Gooseneck ball attaches to on the rails. And with the extra 2" of height these are adding it may not work with your trailer height.
