Parts Needed to Transfer TracRac SR Ladder Rack From GMC to 2022 Ford F-250 Long Bed

Question:

I currently have a 2018 gmc sierra 6'5" bed with Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack. Im getting a new Ford 2022 f-250 8 foot bed, my question is this, If I get the longer base rails for the Ford, will I be able to use the sliding ladder rack from my gmc? or will I need to purchase a whole new set up? Thank you

New base rails are needed for sure to account for the longer, 8 foot bed of your 2022 Ford F-250, and while you can use most of the rest of the set up from the TracRac SR on your GMC Sierra, you will need to also replace the upright assemblies.

The reason why is Ford Super Duty trucks (and some Ram trucks) need a taller, 24-1/2 inch upright to ensure the cargo on the rack can clear the top of the cab of your Ford (the uprights on your GMC are 22-3/4 inches). So here is what you will need:

- Base Rails for Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Racks # TH21000

- Replacement Upright Leg # TA7521902003
