You will need the following items to ready your 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe for towing: hitch receiver, a 4-way connector and wiring harness, a 7-way connector, and a ball mount.
My hitch receiver recommendation is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2", part # C34ER. This hitch receiver has a maximum tongue weight of 600 lbs and a maximum gross trailer weight of 4,000 lbs.
Next, you will need a wiring harness. I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part # CU94FR. The wiring harness will plug directly into your existing wiring.
If your trailer has electric brakes, I recommend the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires, part # ETBC7, is next on the list. Once this is installed, you can tow trailers with 4-way connectors and 7-way connectors. The last items I recommend whenever someone is doing some wiring installation is dielectric grease. The grease will help fight corrosion in your system. The part numbers are Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors, 2 oz. part # 11755.
Now everything is in place to tow except for the ball mount. The Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches - 2" Ball - 3/4" Rise, 2" Drop - 7.5K, part # C45534, will provide you will a 2" ball mount, a locking hitch pin, and a shank with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop.
I have included product description links, installation video links, a video review link, and some helpful trailer wiring weblinks below.
