Best Brake Controller and Wiring for a 2022 Kia Telluride
Question:
I'm getting a 2022 Telluride next week but I need to get all of the wiring for it and a brake controller so I can tow a trailer. What all do I need and what brake controller should I use?

I have a perfect solution for installing a brake controller on your 2022 Kia Telluride!
Since you don't have any wiring, we will need to start from scratch, but thankfully there are plug-in 4-Way options and I recommend going with the Curt T-Connector # CU94FR because it's the most reliable. The 4-Way gets you the basic light functions for your trailer so since we are adding a brake controller, we also need the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7 to get that fully-functioning 7-Way. Adding a No-Drill Bracket # C57202 into the mix will give you a way to secure the trailer socket next to your hitch receiver.
Then for a brake controller I highly recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy iD # TK49VR because it can basically be installed anywhere on your dash (it doesn't take up much room) and it allows you to switch between proportional and time-delayed braking which gives you a lot more control and is a huge advantage over most brake controllers that can only accommodate one type of braking style. There are a few other similar brake controller styles, but this is the only one that has a digital readout on the control knob so that adjusting the brakes doesn't require remembering what colors or flashing lights mean.
If you don't already have a hitch and ball mount kit, then I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch # e45ZR and the Ball Mount Kit # EBMK4. These parts will round out everything that you need for a towing setup!
