No Power To The Hopkins Plug In Wiring Harness On A 2019 Toyta Highlander
Question:
Hi I recently purchased a draw tite hitch and the simple Hopkins wiring harness no converter. Currently no power at the plug in connection. Do I need to put a fuse in the fuse box to get power to the harness. 2019 Toyota Highlander xle. I think it has a factory tow package.

The Hopkins Plug-In Simple Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # HM11141825 you have is more than likely not the source of the issue.
Most likely it is a blown fuse or missing fuse on the driver's side underneath the steering column, and it is not a super uncommon situation for these fuses to be missing from the manufacturer.
This should be a 7.5A fuse labeled "IG1 NO.2"; consult the diagram on the fuse box for the exact location.
Check the fuse if there is one and see if it is blown, if it is; simply replace the fuse and check for functionality. If there is no fuse, put a fuse in the appropriate slot and check for functionality.
