What Tire Chains will Fit on the Outside Rear 225/75-16 Tire of My Dually 2015 Ford E450?
Question:
Looking to buy a pair of these. Only to put on the outside tire of the dually. I understand that these require a reach behind to connect the side cable/chain. Should I be able to easily get that back side chain connected in that tight space? Side note is the hubs are not open. Just 4 small cutouts around the rim. E450 Chassis 225/75-16 dually

If you are planning on installing the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern # TC2319 on the outside tire of your rear dual tires of your 2015 Ford E450, you will not have to reach all the way around the tire, but you will have to feed the chain in-between the dual tires (see the attached installation video starting at timestamp 2:56).
The ability to do this fitting process depends on how much space you have between your dually tires. Since the link thickness of the # TC2319 are 3.7mm, I recommend having at least double that measurement in order to complete the fitting. Before you purchase these chains, I recommend measuring that space between your dual 225/75-16 tires. If you end up purchasing the # TC2319 chains, I recommend also purchasing the Titan Chain Adjusters # TCMA2. These tensioners will take some of the headache away from tightening the chains.
For an option that doesn't require any part of the chains to install on the inside of the tire and does not require reaching around the back, I recommend the Konig Premium Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern # TH02230K66. Not only will you need to worry about the space between your rear dual tires, but you will have the best snow/ice traction we have to offer. Also, with the self-tensioning mechanism, you will not need to adjust the chains for tightness after each trip.
I went ahead and attached a photo of how the Konig chains look once they are installed.
