Best Replacement Locks For Jayco Jay Flight Rebuild

Question:

My husband is fixing up a 2006 Jayco Jay Flight travel trailer. He wants to replace the door handles/locks on both entry doors. I’ve been reading up on all of the different brands and I’m realizing that they are not all created equal! Can you recommend a good one and one that will fit the existing hole? I was looking at Bauer, but I’d like to know what you suggest. The brand that is on it now is FIC and the hole is 3 5/8”T x 2 7/8”W. He prefers one with a key and would like both of them to be keyed alike. Also looking to replace all other cylinder locks as well. Thank You

I recommend the Bauer Products Camper Door Lock - Black # BA54FR. I feel they are a good quality brand and easy to operate. You can get them keyed alike by using the drop down menu before you add them to your cart.

This particular version requires a cut out of 2-3/4" wide and 3-3/4" tall. It fits doors that are 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" thick.

To replace the cylinder locks I suggest the Replacement Cam Lock for RVs - Chrome Finish - 7/8" Long # BA56FR. They are an easy and straight forward install. They as well can be keyed alike.
