Recommendation for Adding 12K Electric Jack for Horse Trailer
Question:
I am thinking of changing the manual jack on my 2002 Kiefer horse trailer. Its a Fulton heavy duty 12,000 lb. jack. Can you please tell me what electric jack kit I need? Also, will I need a gear replacement set? If so, which one?

It sounds like you have the older Fulton 12K Magnum Series HD Jack. Since there isn't a way to convert this to an electric jack you'll need to replace the entire jack. To get to your end result of having an electric jack for your horse trailer you will need to go with the Bulldog 2-Speed Jack # BD183401 (10K lift and 12K static capacities) and then use the Bulldog Powered-Drive Kit # BD1824180100 to make it electric. This setup does come with it's own gearbox so you wouldn't need to pick up a separate one.
If you'd like a manual crank in the event that you lose power to the jack then you would be looking for the Jack Crank Assembly # BD015181.
If you want something that's a little more cost-effective then we have the Ultra-Fab Deluxe Electric Landing Gear Set # UF17-943010 which is rated for 12K combined, but this is a little different than what you currently have so you would need to figure out the best way to have the brackets welded on for the installation.
