Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2003 Ford Escape without Factory Tow Package
Question:
This product on the curt website says its incompatible with my 03 Ford Escape. Is this a mistake? I also read that this product isnt compatible with LED lights? I dont have a factory setup and was weighing the options and weather or not to have a powered converter as to not stress the factory harness out, this versus the product from ready tow 118343.

Traditionally with powered converters LED lights are not a problem. But what I recommend for your 2003 Ford Escape is the Tow Ready wiring harness # 118345. It is most definitely a fit for a 2003 Ford Escape and there should be no issues with LED lights. The powered converter is the way to go because the trailer lights will be powered by the vehicle battery and the tail lights will be isolated from the system for protection. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view.
