Troubleshooting Trailer Grease Seal 58846 that Leaks Grease when Filled with EZ Lube Fitting

Question:

karavan 2010 boat trailer. 3500# E Z lube trailer. I have always had lots of grease leaking out of the grease seal, grease covering the whole back of my tire. G1.179 X 2.565, Item # 58846 double seal. I put grease in my hub and water came out with the grease. I took the hub apart and every thing including the grease seal Item # 58846 looks in perfect shape. No blemishes on the races or bearings. Do you have any better grease seal. Could a whole new hub assembly be better? Would a bearing buddy seal work better? I took lots of pics if that will help. The bearings I have now are 4 years old and look like new. I hope you have something that I can try.

So what's really easy to do with EZ lube axles is over fill them to the point they push grease out of the seal like it sounds like you are doing. Once the seal blows out it can then let in water.

Best option I have would be replace the seal with the # 58846 and pack the bearings by hand.
