Are Curt & Tow Ready Coupler Tow Bar The Same Thing

Expert Reply:
They are similar but the Tow Ready Adjustable Tow Bar 63180 is different from the Curt Tow Bar with Adjustable-Width Arms # C19745.
They are manufactured by competing companies, and while both have a 5k capacity and come with brackets to attach to the vehicle you are looking to tow, the biggest difference is that the Tow Ready limits you to a towing speed of 45 mph. So if you wanted to flat tow your vehicle on a highway you would not be able to do so.
Since the Curt # C19745 does not have that limitation I definitely recommend going with it; the only other thing you'll need with that tow bar is the Curt Coupler Safety Pin # K-8P.
