Recommended Roof Vent Replacement For A 65 VW Camper
Question:
We have a 65 Vw Camper with an unknown pop up camper roof. It has a 16.5inch x 16.5inch outside frame diameter hinged roof vent we need to replace. Do you have anything that would work?

When you say 16.5" x 16.5" outside frame diameter I'm assuming you mean that you measure the flange of the vent and not the actual vent size. If so, then your vent is most likely going to fall into the 14" to 14-1/4" range. The Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent - Manual - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" - White # V2092SP-28 you were looking at will fit this size opening and will allow air to circulate in your 65' VW Camper.
If you would prefer one with a fan then I recommend the MaxxAir Mini Deluxe Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Powered - 1 Speed - White # MA00-03801. This 12v fan has a powered exhaust and 1 speed option that is quiet and energy efficient to help cool your camper. The integrated rain shield prevents rainwater from entering your camper and eliminates the need to install a separate vent cover. This vent also comes with cool white LED lighting for nighttime or accent lighting.
I recommend also purchasing the Roof Vent Installation Kit - Sealant, Butyl Tape, Screws - White # 344270KITW which will have everything you need to install either vent on your camper with a water-tight seal.
