Question:

I want to re-caulk certain accessories on my RV TPO roof. 1. What is the difference between Alpha Systems 1021 self-leveling sealant vs. the alpha Systems Alphathane 5121 self leveling sealant? 2. Can either one of these products be used on a TPO roof?

Both the Alpha Systems 1021 Self-Leveling Sealant for RVs - White - 10.3oz - Qty 1 # AL98KV and the Alpha Systems AlphaThane 5121 Self-Leveling Sealant for RVs - Gray - 9.8oz - Qty 1 # AL45KV are good for use on TPO roofing and will allow you to re-caulk your roof accessories for a water tight seal. The only difference between these two sealants is that the 5121 has a longer drying time which will allow you more time to get it exactly how you want. Also, the # AL45KV is gray while the AL98KV is white.

I do recommend removing any old sealant and cleaning the area with soapy water and letting it fully dry before applying the sealant to ensure a tight seal.
