What do Air Lift Coil Springs do For 2012 Honda Odyssey
Question:
Re: airlift 1000 for 2012 honda odyssey. What does it mainly do? Preventing coil spring from compressing more?

Expert Reply:
You have it right; when inflated, the air springs will act as a support to the coil springs on your Odyssey, which means they springs won't fully compress like they would without the springs. The correct fit for the Air Lift springs on your 2012 Honda Odyssey is the following part:
- Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs # AL60815
So with the # AL60815 springs installed on your Odyssey, it won't squat when you are towing or have a particularly heavy load in the rear. This will mean your front wheels will make full contact with the ground instead of raised up by the weight at the back. This naturally improves your handling and braking, and as an added bonus, your ride will be smoother with the support that air springs add.
