There are several Rightline cargo bags that they claim are weather and/or waterproof but we have not tested them to determine if they will actually keep out all water. Technically, for something to be considered waterproof, it has to be able to be submerged under water for a certain amount of time and keep the contents dry on the inside. In our experience, even the "water proof" will leak in the hardest of downpours so we always suggest protecting your cargo with plastic inside of the bag.

The largest of these bags is 18 cubic feet, # RL100S30. For any cargo bag make sure the roof and the bottom of the bag is clean before installing it. I also recommend a pad, # RL100650, to protect the roof. Also be sure to check the capacity of the roof and rack and do not exceed that capacity.
