Can Curt Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole C57674 be Mounted Facing Ground
Question:
I’ve installed the wiring adapter as shown on the photos, is this legal? And if so, what would the downsides be of mounting it this way? The tester confirms the 4-way functionality works need to get cabling up to the front for break controller eventually.

Thank you for the photo, and it is fine to have mounted the Curt Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole # C57674 facing towards the ground like you have done.
There isn't any legal issue I'm aware of with mounting the # C57674 like this, and the only downside of doing it in this manner will be that it is going to be a bit more difficult to plug in your trailer's 7-way as you'll have to reach under the vehicle to do so.
