For the 2012 Chevy Cruze it looks like there are base plates for various models. If your 2LT does not have fog lights and is not an RS model then I recommend the Roadmaster base plates # 523168-1. If you have an Eco model with active air shutter system, go with # 523170-1. And for an RS model the only option is # BX1698.

For either of the Roadmaster base plates I recommend the Falcon 2 tow bar # RM-520. If you need the Blue Ox base plates then go with the Avail tow bar # BX7420. For safety cables for the Falcon go with # RM-643. The Aventa tow bar comes with the safety cables.

You will also need a lighting solution for the vehicle. If you will not be towing very often I recommend a magnetic kit like # RM-2120. But for more frequent towing a more permanent solution is # 154-792-118158 It also looks like you will need to pull fuses to flat tow the vehicle. Check the owners manual to confirm. To take out a little of the hassle you can use a fuse bypass # RM76512.

And finally, most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to set up and use is the Even Brake proportional braking system # RM-9400. It applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This reduces wear and tear on both vehicles and is the safest way to stop.

Be sure to consult the vehicle owners manual for more specific information on flat towing. I have also included some helpful links on flat towing for you.
