Troubleshooting Faint Right Stop/Turn Blinker Circuit of Trailer Wiring

Question:

I installed the 4 way and 7 way wire harnesses on my 1997 Toyota T100. I have a very faint left turn signal on a 16’ camper trailer when using 7 pin. All lights work when pulling a utility trailer and using 4 pin. All lights work on camper trailer when connected to different truck. Could I be in need of a heavy duty flasher? Or possibly exceeding the draw limit when using 7 pin as I believe I’m charging the coach battery as well as powering lights?

Most likely your trailer's ground is insufficient to power that circuit or the power draw from that circuit is too much for your vehicle to support it. I'd be willing to bet it's the ground circuit of either your trailer's wiring or the truck's wiring. Try improving the connection from the ground strap of your trailer wiring and also if you are using a 4-way to 7-way adapter make sure it's ground strap is connected to a clean metal surface.
