Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring that Blinks When Connected
Question:
the truck lights all work ok ...left / right and hazard works ok. the ground to trailer is good. when I hook trailer harness they all blink.. the bulbs are the old style and are good.

Is it like an intermittent blink that changes speed or does it blink with a consistent rhythm? My guess is that there's an intermittent connection of the ground circuit of the trailer wiring which is causing the lights to not work consistently. I'd first clean all of the pins of the trailer wiring as most likely you just have some corrosion that is causing an intermittent connection that comes and goes.
