Options For A Shank With More Drop For The Curt C17501 TruTrack Weight Distribution System

Question:

Just purchased a Curt C17501 weight distributing hitch from you. My tow vehicle is a 2001 Ford F350 4 wheel drive dually. Your listed hitch specifications show a maximum rise of 5-1/2 inches and a maximum of 1/2 inch. My 4 wheel drive F350 sits somewhat higher than a 2 wheel drive pickup so I may need more than 1/2 inch . Is the 1/2 inch specification a typo/error? Can I get 6 inches of by rotating the shank in the receiver 180 degrees? My trailer is a Featherlite 4926 22 foot bumper pull car hauler which is on order. Thank you.

The shank that comes included with the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System # C17501 does indeed only offer 1/2" of drop. Though it will depend on how much drop is needed, and you do have 1-1/2" up and down to still technically be level, we do have a couple other shanks that will offer more drop.

The Curt # 17120 will offer 5-3/4" drop and the # C17123 will offer 8-1/4" of drop. These will cover most vehicles and are both rated to 1,500 pounds of tongue weight and 15,000 pounds towing, but if you need more, let me know and I can shoot you over a couple other options.
