What's the Rating of the 12V Accessory Circuit on a 7-way Trailer Connector

Question:

Does the 12 volt 7 pin trailer power source on a GM 2011 Savana van have an amperage or power limiter or just direct battery.

Assuming that the 7-way connector on your Savana van is factory installed, the 12-V circuit to the trailer runs through the power distribution panel in the engine compartment, where it's protected by a 30 or 40A fuse. (The owner's manual doesn't specify the fuse rating).

The amount of power that the circuit can deliver will be limited by the alternator output, the relatively small gauge wire used in the circuit and the distance away from the battery/alternator.

If you have a trailer mounted accessory, and you're concerned that the 12V feed to the trailer connector won't provide adequate power, I'd recommend installing a battery on your trailer. While you're under way, the 12V feed can provide a maintenance charge, and when shore power is available, you can use a quality battery charger like part # 329-GENIUS10 to fully charge the battery.
